Encounter examples and tactics

Spaceship A is looking for spaceship B

  • Spaceship B has a mirror crypsis modulator so it is cloaked against spaceship A.
  • Spaceship A speculates it is only mirror and not holo crypsis modulation, so an armed probe or shuttle is launched. Now two armed observers are present and mirror crypsis is circumvented. The probe/shuttle fires on spaceship B.

Organization A wants to airstrike the base of organization B

  • The base only has static radar
    • Organization B will have scouting camps in advanced positions. The camps will look for contrails and listen for engine sounds and scan for hot exhausts. This is a fairly low tech approach to detect incoming cloaked airstrikes and provide last minute warnings.
    • Organization A will deploy special forces to take out scouting camps before launching cloaked airstrike against the base of organization B.
  • The base has multistatic radar and heat signature scans
    • Multistatic radar can be stationary for critical and established bases. Multistatic radar can also be a mobile array of Arcto’s with command pods. Multistatic radar can detect ships even with holo crypsis modulator and passive crypsis.
    • Organization A must launch a heavy ground assault against the base of organization B.
